Technical Quarterly

Purpose and Scope:

The Technical Quarterly is an online journal. It features both reviewed and non-reviewed papers covering wide technical aspects of brewing ingredients, the brewing process, brewing by-products, environmental considerations in breweries, beer packaging, and beer flavor and physical stability.

Executive and supervisory personnel in production, engineering, quality control, research, packaging and material handling, maintenance, and administration in brewing, malting, and associated industries utilize this essential resource. Membership in the MBAA is not a requirement for publication or subscription.

Intended Readership:

Professionals in brewing production, engineering, quality control, research, packaging, malting, and fermentation.

Technical Quarterly is published by the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA). MBAA was formed in 1887 with the purpose of promoting, advancing, improving, and protecting the professional interest of brewing and malt house production and technical personnel. MBAA disseminates technical, practical information, promoting training, encouraging cooperation, interaction, and further knowledge through the exchange of ideas.

Today, the Association continues to observe the original tenets and has evolved into a worldwide organization with 23 Districts made up of approximately 2500 members. The MBAA is governed by the members through an elected Board of Governors. Learn more about MBAA.
