Purpose and Scope:
The Journal of the American Society of Brewing Chemists publishes scientific papers, review articles, and technical reports dealing with the chemistry and microbiology of brewing ingredients and relevant technology, as well as the analytical techniques used in the malting and brewing industry.
Internationally renowned for more than sixty years, the Journal of
the ASBC can be found in many libraries who serve patrons in food
chemistry, beverage science, and related disciplines.
Intended Readership:
Technical, supervisory and executive personnel involved in brewing, beer packaging, quality assurance, plant engineering, purchasing, research and development, environmental health and safety, regulatory policy, education, sales and marketing, and distribution.

The Journal of the ASBC is published by the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC). ASBC was founded in 1934 to improve and bring uniformity to the brewing industry on a technical level. ASBC’s primary objectives are to resolve technical problems on an industry-wide basis, keep current on the technical needs of the brewing industry and anticipate the industry’s future concerns. Today, ASBC is represented by nearly 900 individual and 60 corporate members worldwide.
